Privacy
Quick Little Memory is run by Handhewn. People use it to send memories of someone who has died to that person's family. We know what we're being trusted with, and this page says plainly what we keep and who can see it.
What we keep
- The memories people send: writing, voice recordings, videos and photos, plus written transcripts of recordings.
- What people tell us about themselves when they send one: a name, how they knew the person, and the phone number or email address they sent from.
- The email address of each organizer, so they can sign in.
- Ordinary technical records, like when a message arrived, so we can fix problems.
Who can see it
- The organizers of a collection see what's sent to it, except anything a sender asked to keep private.
- People the organizers share the family link with see the memories the organizers have shared.
- Nothing is public, listed in search engines, or shown to other families.
- We don't sell personal information, and we never use it for advertising.
Text messages
If you text our number, we use your phone number only to save what you send and to reply to you. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
The companies that help us run it
We use a small number of service providers, only for running the service:
- Railway stores the database and the files.
- Vercel runs the website.
- Twilio carries text messages and phone calls.
- Resend sends and receives email.
- Cloudflare turns voice recordings into written transcripts.
AI
We use AI only to write transcripts of recordings. The provider gets the audio and nothing else, and is not allowed to use it to train AI models. No memory is ever used to train AI, by us or anyone we work with.
How long we keep things
We keep a collection for as long as its organizers want it. Organizers can download everything at any time. Removing a memory in the app hides it everywhere. If you want something permanently deleted, including a memory you sent or your own details, email us and we'll delete it within 30 days.
Children
Quick Little Memory isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
