Questions
If yours isn’t here, the answer is probably on how it works or keeping it safe.
- What does it cost?
Nothing right now. We’re opening it to a few families at a time while we make sure it’s right, and we haven’t set prices yet.
- How do I get an invitation?
It’s invite-only for now. If someone has invited you, sign in with the email address the invitation went to and you can start right away. If not, write to hello@quicklittlememory.com and tell us a little about who it’s for; we’re letting families in a few at a time.
- Does everyone need an account, or an app?
No. Only the organizers, and any family they invite by email, sign in, with a link we email them or a passkey. Everyone else just opens the link, or texts or emails. We ask for a name, so the family knows who each memory is from.
- My grandmother doesn’t really use her phone. Can she still send something?
Yes. The link opens one page with one big button that says Record your voice, and she can say what she remembers and tap Send. If that’s still too much, someone can sit with her and send it from their own phone, with her name on it.
- Can people send more than once?
Please. The same link keeps working for as long as the collection exists. A lot of the best memories come months later, when something small brings one back.
- Can people see what others have sent?
Not unless the organizer allows it. Usually the link for sending only lets people send. For a memorial, the organizer can let people read the others after they send one. The family link, which the organizer shares when the family is ready, shows everything that’s shared; anything hidden, kept private by its sender, or sealed until a date stays out of sight.
- What if someone sends something that shouldn’t be there?
The organizer can hide it from the family with one tap, and block the sender if needed. Hidden things are set aside, not deleted, so nothing is lost by mistake.
- Can I keep it closed until the kids are older?
Yes. The organizer can keep the family link closed until a date, like a child’s eighteenth birthday. People can keep sending until then, and the family page opens on the day. A person sending a memory can also seal just their own until a date, like a letter for a grandchild.
- Is AI used on our memories?
Only to turn recordings into text, so they can be read. No AI is ever trained on anything sent here. More on that.
- What happens to everything over time?
We don’t delete what’s sent unless the family or the sender asks us to, and the organizer can download all of it whenever they like. We built it so a family never has to depend on us alone to keep what matters.
- Can more than one person look after a collection?
Yes. The organizer can invite others by email, and they can see and manage everything too. A collection always keeps at least one organizer.
